i just starting hear hissing sound from the bottom of my car !! does anyone know why is like this ?? i didnt hit nothing or run over bump, i just start hearing hissing sound help ayone !!!

 

dont you think it is kinda loud ?? i have the G for like 8 month with 10000 miles on it, i never hear of it ?? have you ever check with the dealer ??

 

appears to be exhaust.. only seems loud when the car is cold..

Mine does it also. I sat down and listened for a while one day. It's seems to occur after the car is driven hard and the exhaust is hot. I think its the pipes near the Cat's contracting as they cool. Just and idea, but I'll have to remember to ask the dealer about it next time I'm in for service. Peace.

fuel pump?

 

Yeah, what protocav said. It's the fuel pump. On my 300ZX, you hear a hiss right before firing up your car. It's the pump pre-delivering the fuel (priming) to the engine.
