Re: where can i learn to drive manual?
I bought a '94 probe gt with 5mt and 115k for 1.3k while i wait for my 6mt order to get in. I'm on my second week ever of driving stick now. It only takes about an hour or two with a good teacher to actually learn to drive stick but even on my second week I'm still doing stupid things (espically now that I'm confident enought to try some of the more advanced stuff) and I wouldn't want to drive my nice new g untill untill I have my tecnique down.
Having to re-learn the clutch on the g shouldn't be a big deal...now that I have the concept down I'll be able to figure that out on my own...

Yeah, it only takes a few hours to get the basics, but then it takes a few months of continued daily driving to make it natural.
Once you get to that point, you'll note that every car's clutch is different.. but it doesn't take any more getting used to than the differences in the accelerator or brake pedals.

Re: where can i learn to drive manual?
I went to a honda dealership and said i was looking to buying a car, so the salesman let me drive the S2000. I choked it every time but then i finally got it. Then he wanted me to drive backwards and i kept choking it and i gave up, but it felt good to finally get it in first gear without choking it, after that it was a breeze

On that note, I think Saturn dealerships will let you test drive a car without a salesperson.
Plus, GM has their new 24-hour test drive program.
Kinda rude to use such things to learn to drive stick with no intention to purchase, though -- you're adding wear & tear to someone else's new vehicle, and wasting the paid-by-commission salesperson's time.
Learn on your brand new G35, but be prepared to dish out $500 or so for a clutch job in 6-12 months. After killing the first one with inexperience, the second one should last much, much longer.
