Axel ticking cost?

My car is no longer under warranty and i have the whole axel ticking deal going on. I called the dealer and they said it would cost 80 dollars just to look at it, but they dont know how much it will actually cost. Does anyone know how much it should cost to fix or how long it takes so i can base it on a hourly charge? Thanks

yeah, i told the dealer it was a TSB and they were aware of it, but said they still didnt know how much it would cost. What do they actually do to the car to stop it and what parts do they change?

I think they just grease it up, and change a washer.

^no they do more than that.
Take the TSB with you. it lists the parts they need to replace. They should have done this before. It should be possible for them to give you a cost

At least if you do it yourself you won't have to worry about some idiot at the dealership with a wild air-gun scratching up your rims as they remove the lugs.

I just brought mine in for the Axel click on Monday and now I have to bring it back next Tuesday to have my rear rims refinished.
