Injen cai

I just bought an Injen cold air intake and was just wondering what I need to get to keep water out of the engine if I go through a puddle? I tried an AEM bypass valve but it did not fit.

Welcome to my world. Dont drive through any puddles that might even be questionable.

I am not sure about the hydrosheild gimmick. That may work for rain if your intake was exposed but if the filter goes into water it will still suck up some, then you are effed!

buy the aem bypass valve if you're that worried. i just avoid large puddles at all costs.

I get the bonehead award. I hydrolocked my G35 about 3 weeks ago and now have $7894 in damages, thanks to my Injen CAI.

If you get the Injen be careful!

Are there any "safe" brands that can enhance the pur of our sweet exhausts without worrying about hydrolocking?

uh-oh.. here we gooooo....

waiting on the.. "that's why you shoulda got this intake instead of that one. blah blah blah.." you should be fine with the AEM by-pass valve (that is unless you could avoid driving through large deep puddles.. I know it's hard but please.. be smurt about it lol) (yes I know I said "smurt" i'm trying to make a point)
