1st Anniversary
Yesyerday was my 1 month anniversary with the G. I just had to tell everyone how I feel. For more than 2 years I surfed this site listening to you guys talk about your love for the G. I wanted to buy one but some business deal kept coming up and getting in the way. A couple times I almost did it but just felt it didn't make sense. I have a beautifully modded Lexus SC300 and it is hands down a superior car to the G. Why wouldn't it be, it was a 50K car when new. It's a 95 with 64K miles. I've spent thousands pon thousands and it runs like new. An 11 year old car is an 11 year old car and I wanted something new to drive.
Enter the G. After one month I can see why you all love it so much. The exhaust note is sweet. The power more than adequate. It's suspension is tight. It looks cool. It's just fun to drive. Even my wife says it's fun to drive. I love hitting the gas and seeing it pull away. I turn the music down to hear the roar. I have only 2 complaints. The interior is not up to luxury car level. I know it's a sport coupe but it's an Infiniti. Now that I've had it a month it doesn't seem so bad. I guess I'm just used to Lexus. The other is the seat. The car has a racing type seat with high side bolstering to keep you in place. Problem is I'm 268 lbs. That thing is too narrow. I'll just lose a few lbs and it'll feel better.
Bottom line...I love my G. Next year is a problem. I got this car on a 1 year lease because I wanted to get the new style G next year. But I'm falling for this one. I don't need to chase new cars everytime the manufacturers decide to make a new model. I might just keep this baby. I haven't given it a name yet. Any suggestions?
