G has gone CRAZY! H E L P ! !

Ok here's the deal. I was driving one night and noticed that the lights on my dash wern't workin (i.e.-the buttons that light up so u can see what ur pressing at night time, like the volume button, a.c. controls, etc). They wern't on and neither was the clock light. It was pretty much pitch black in side my coupe while i was driving on i-95 at 10:30pm. My radio is working fine and so is my odometer lights (but i can't dim them, they stay on that bright a$$ setting). I pulled over and attempted to turn my car off then back on. No luck. I then also noticed that my tail lights wern't working either. THe brake lights come on, but not the driving lights. I also noticed that my angel eyes on my custom made projectors wern't workin as well and neither were my low beam light (which has been replaced with E46 projectors). I took it to my auto guy, and he checked all the fuses, wiring and other things and couldnt find out what was wrong. He said that the projectors might be the reason, but he's not sure. My top pod light (which are Audi ECE A4's) are still workin though. And oh yea, my parking lights in the front dont come on as well. I'm gonna take it to infiniti probably on Monday and let them deal with it. ANYONE know what this could be????

--My auto guy said it might also be the fuse in the control box, but he couldnt find the control box.

I hope Infiniti doesn't try to blame it on your Angel Eyes too... otherwise you'll be paying for their troubleshooting time rather than having it be a warranty repair.

Don't be surprised if the dealer gives you $hit because of the modded lights.

A while back, another member did the side marker/blinker mod, and it caused a voltage drop, which in turn messed with the ECU. End result, they wanted to charge him for all the trouble shooting time, and the new ECU.

Hope your circumstances are more optimistic.............Good Luck.

I wouldn't count on the dealer helping you out on this thing. If they do they will charge you an arm and a leg and blame everything on your mods. Dealers and Infiniti Corp are a pain in the a$$ to deal with when it comes to this thing. You're better off getting it fix by an electrical specialist. Goodluck.

The dealer is not going top warranty that because it is electrical and there are aftermarket accessories on it.... If they do warranty it you have the best dealer in the world

The fuses are in a few locations: some under the dash on left side, and some in the battery compartment under the hood.
You might try a 2 hour battery disconnect to reset the Body Control Module (BCM). I believe some of the functions you mentioned run thru that.

THanks for the tip C, i really appreciate it. I'm DEF. gonna try it out today.

Everyone else too, thanks for the concerns about it not being under warrenty BUT i have a good connect. My auto guy (the ones that put on all my aftermarket stuff), are really good friends with the service manager at my infin. dealership. WHen they couldn't find out what was wrong, thats when he phoned the service manager and told him what was up and what not. The manager said to have me bring it in (aftermarket headlights and all) and not to worry, he can get it under warrenty and save me a nice bit of $$$. I definitly wasn't gonna go to infiniti and have them fix it just like that! I know they would rape me a new one for all the labor and crap and what not. And yea, they are DEFINITLY gonna blame it on my modded lights or if not that, my system, or coilovers or hell, even rims! ANYTHING to get outta payin' warrenty claims. But its cool guys, not to worry...hopefully! Thanks again for the concerns and tips. I'll keep the forum posted once everthing's said and done.
