Intake, gas question?

Will installing an aftermarket intake affect my gas mileage? if so, better or worse?

any recommendations on what intake to get for my 06 coupe?

If you read the thousands of intake threads on this site, there seems to be some people who have seen ***slight*** increases in MPG, but like Dave says, you're only going to see that if you can be disciplined enough not to start stepping on the gas all the time. But if you're buying the intake for better sound, then you're probably not going to be able to (or want to) resist.

Like everyone else said, it depends how you drive the car... I like the Stillen/ztube combo better than the po charger.

^^ I dont have any of them...but by the way I read the post, the Stillen has a better Heat shield than the pop charger, making it coler air.

It's the general rule that whenever you up the performance of your car (through giving it more power) you will be decreasing your fuel efficiency. if you are doing intake, do not do the Ztube or any other short ram system. Go CAI or nothing.

reviving an old thread here..

so ztube + pop charger will definitely increase gas mileage. About how much are we talking about here?

Again, I'm reviving an old thread so go easy on me. lol

the increase in gas mileage will be so slim, that you wont even notice it. I lost mpg after i installed my fujita sri becuase like most said, i just want to step on the gas more to hear the sexy sound of the intake.
