No idea on the answer to your question, but what the hell happened to shred the original cover?

under engine cover..? whats that?

if youre talking about the engine cover (never heard it referred as under engine cover before) you can buy one used in good shape for like 60 bucks off the forums. just look in the market place.

but if youre going to buy it from the dealer you might as well get cf since thats what you want and i dont think its that much more.

i wasnt paying attention and there was rock on the road and the rock the size of one of those planters peanut tins...

i couldnt swerve out of the way and their was a car to my side... so i just slammed on the breaks and coastesd over it (dead center)... it hit my under engine covering and shattered... didn't damage my my bumper or front lip at all...

it shredded my plastic covering under the car and put a little ding on my oil pan... i havn't been fully able to get underneath it to check it out... but that looks like the extent of the damage... a dinged oil pan and shredded covers...

btw, i did find the parts on everything nissan...

cooling -> lower cover -> lower cover and sheild center parts... total 114 at their discount price...

its the stuff thats on the bottom of the car that protects are engine from gravel and stuff (think changing oil cover)... its not the engine cover under our hood...

i guess its a gravel/splash shield... here is the link from everythingnissan...

i am not gonna get the cf one... give me standard plastic... i think the other people in the thread probably thought the same thing you did when you first read my post...

i should have made it more clear... here is hoping my oil pan is ok... and this will not turn out to be too costly...

psa... avoid anything on the road...
