Well I finally finished my system for now. Overall results.... I love the new in-dash and the 4080 box is a perfect match for a w6. I don't need to keep cd's in the car anymore because of the hard drive the Z1 has and the navigation is very accurate (comparing it to the Nuvi). Well enough talk and here are the pics

I searched the forums around for pics of the double din unit with the black finisher but never could find it. Heres my contribution. It had to be ordered from Japan (j-garage.com) but came in less than 2 weeks. Great service.

The 4080 box fits perfect and also came very fast.

Components comming soon

yeahh....im still getting used to having a bigger trunk...cause i used to have a box in there and would be able to wedge my stuff in between the spaces. Now my stuff just lays around in the empty space. hehe..... i think i need a cargo net.

I got it for 2g at Circuit city....had a buddy that works there. Took the 4 year warranty just in case anything happens to it. Have to protect your investment you know

I could have saved up a little more and used that money on rims or other mods but I decided to spend it on my own comfort inside the car. A decision I dont regret.

I went ahead and got the job done at Sound Advice for about 300 bucks (had to buy harness for steering wheel controls and have it programmed) Ive been installing car stereos for a while now and I just didnt feel like ripping apart the G. The installer also did the bypass for me so my passangers (not me) can watch dvds on the go.

The speakers are actually stock right now. I have the non-bose system. It dosnt sound too bad right now because the w6 takes care of the lows and the speakers have plenty of highs.... just not much in the midrange but I can handle it. Sounds great

setup looks nice... great unit too!
how did you get the nav configured? does it come with North America package? Did you have to install the recevier?

I guess I might have to do more research on this unit.

The unit has everything in it. It has 30 Gigs of space but 20 of it is used for the Navi. 10 gigs is used for your own music. Once you install the Unit is ready to use. I'll take pics of where the GPS antenna is placed and the voice command mic is.
