G35C a dime a dozen..
Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
Hi:
Hopefully; the G will never be a "dime a dozen" and it's ubiquity is only proof positive of its quality and class. A 'good thing' will always attract others. Unfortunatly this is the kind of buying approval that we need to keep it's desireability going.
Here in very Southern Calif, where a 10 year old car is still considered new, the Z's out pace G35c's about 3 to one. But neither are frequently seen.

Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
In the Northern VA/Wash DC area, I see about 5-6 in a week during my 30-minute-each-way commute (or otherwise). I see twice that many Z's in a week, and at least that many 3-series at every stoplight.

I am in the LA area and depending on the day I see about 7-10. Just today I went out for 20 minuntes and saw 4 coupes. I flashed to all of them and none responded.
I hate to say this but most g drivers are like most boxster drivers. None of them are enthusiasts like us. But then again every hot car out there is going to be the same whether its a Porsche or an Infiniti.

We didn't buy the only one and Infiniti is still making them. You want Infiniti/Nissan to mass produce them. That builds a bigger/better aftermarket supply. I had a 02' Maxima, a hot car but the aftermarket wasn't there. NISMO has to get off there duff!
Hawaii sells coupes left & right. I think its good for Infiniti.

Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
I drove from the bay area down to San Diego last weekend. I only saw 3 coupes the whole way...all between Burbank and Irvine. I saw 6 z's but here were probably more...I just dont notice them. Up here in the north bay, I hardly ever see another coupe and only a couple of sedans.
Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
Based on sales figures the G35 Coupe and 350Z are selling at similar rates, at about 3000-3500 cars per month for the past 8 months, so i'd expect about the same amount to be on the street overall, of course it's all dependent on the area as well.
Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
There is a blak one that parks near me to rease me as he knows I am still waiting for mine. I drove to the Jets game from Long Island without seeing 1 the entire day. If I see 1 a day it is alot. - There is still a waiting list for the G35C on Long Island.
Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
In the northern part of Dallas, I definately see more Z's than G35c's. It's maybe a 4 to 1 ratio. Still, I don't see many of either, and I still haven't gotten used to people staring at my car everywhere I go.
What I do see here are tons and tons of Lexus. They are everywhere. I also saw a Crossfire a couple weeks ago, and I paced him going up the tollway. We were both just kinda checking out each other's car. I liked the look of it, but I certainly think it would get on my nerves driving it all the time. It was nice knowing that I coulda dropped into 4th and smoked him if I wanted..
Last weekend, I was eating lunch with a friend in a restaurant's patio. A G35c went by, and I asked my buddy 'does my car sound like that?' He said 'yep'.. I could only reply 'badass'..

Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
Here in SoCal, they are a dime a dozen. There are so many Coupes like mine that I sometimes have to check the license plate at a parking lot to find which one is mine!
It's kind of absurd how many are here. I must see 10 Coupes a day, and I don't even drive that much! But, that's materialistic, fashion conscious, gotta-have-the-latest-thing, Socal for ya!
