Thumbs up Helped a 350Z today. My work is done!

Nothing major, just saw a 350Z driving by me with a sweet set of rims on. Couldn't tell at first what they were, but they made this Z look better than any other I've seen on the road. When we pulled up to a red light, BLAM! He had a set of 19" OEM Rays [forged]. I rolled down my window (wasn't in my coupe, dag gum!), but anyways, yelled to him, "Nice rims!, they make your Z look too good. Hey...by the way, I know those are off a G35 Coupe, b/c I own one, besides noticing the Infiniti symbol still shinning on those bad boys!".

He was like "Thanks Man, I appreciate the thumbs up". I then said "By the way before the light turns, I wanted to let you know that you can order NISSAN center caps for those wheels"...blah blah blah...

I told him to try japanparts and a couple other vendors that deal with JDM.

He was blown away and a very happy man when he drove off.

My work here is done. LOL. JK.

I did feel good letting the guy know something that most do not.

P.s. The 19" (especially if he gets the Nissan center caps) look 1,000 times better than ANY set of wheels I have ever seen or think I will ever see on a Z. I personally LOVE my 18", but that's besides the point.

Sweet purchase on his part. Plus, now he's ride is somewhat unique!

If I was a Z owner I would definetly look to get the coupe's 19's.

I might eventually get the 19's but right now, I'm 100% satisfied with the sweet 18's. Nissan did do a fantastic job with the OEM wheels IMO.

Not only good looking but tons lighter than even the 18s. Unless he was riding on track 18s or the newer oem optional Rays 19s.

I bet it did look good.

Had a similar 'helping' experience with a guy who had just bought a used coupe for his wife. Out of all of the body mods, I think he found the keyhole escutcheon very cool... ...perhaps because it was something easy he could do to his wife's. He was a middle-aged guy (late 40's, I'm mid 30's) and looked a bit surprised to see that I had done so much this Infiniti coupe.

I think a TT G would have really dumbfounded him.

Yeh, he could been an A-hole and said:

"That's just a Nissan, so why do you have Infiniti wheels on it?"

At least now he'll be able to sport some JDM Nissan wheels on his Z.

Really? How much lighter are the OEM 19"s in comparison to my OEM 18"s??

Did not know the 18's where heavier??
