By the way, I think its a New Jersey thing too..

Most drivers in NJ are on cell phones and/or paying as little attention to the road as humanly possible, so along with the huge population and traffic, its rare anyone has time to do that type of thing.

If anyone here has ever even driven a Corvette before, you'll know that its almost a 100% chance you're getting a wave from any other Vette on the road.

I live in Phoenix, and G's and Z's are very common here.
Two other G's on my street besides mine.
I don't think that I can drive more than a few blocks most days without
seeing a G or a Z.

Can't recall anyone waving or nodding or giving me any kind of special look because I drive a G.

Also, I've never felt the need to wave or give any kind of special attention to anyone driving a G or Z.

If you drove a lexus or bmw, (both of which are very common here),
would you expect someone else that owned one to wave or nod every time they saw you?

Sounds kind of narcissistic to me.

Well like I said I used to have a subaru and everyone did it with that. and when I had my porsche everyone with a porsche acknowledged me as well (even though it wasnt a 911 or anything super nice). But I bet heeb and afropuff probably see me driving around on Rt.9 and dont wave to me even though I wave to them. lol.

I guess I live in a great place. The majority of G owners show some kind of acknowledgement and pretty well all of the Coupe owners.

BTW, as a 47 year old driving a coupe I can honestly say I love cars as much as I did 25 years ago. 47 isn't old either.

Unhappy

Here in San Diego I literally see about 5 G's a day. I think most don't say hello because its just too common of a car, that and the whole 'I want to be a superstar' SoCal attitude When I drive my other car, mkII VW Corrado, I get waves from other old school mkII'ers not to mention notes left on the car mentioning compliments and questions! I really appreciate that sort of community enthusiasm but I think most g35 owners could car less about their car itself and more about the money it represents!

I've gotten all kinds of acknowledgements from fellow drivers and passers-by with all my Infinitis wherever I've been. ...
and I give as much as I receive.....

If I waved to every G35 driver I saw, my hand would never be on the steering wheel Waaaay too many G35s in So-cal. Its like owning a Camry and waving to every driver on the street...you would just be considered psycho.

I made it a point to wave to every G that I saw when I was driving yesterday, it wound up only being 3 in total. but only one other guy waved back to me. Younger dude, probably in his early thirty's or so. I am actually kind of upset cause I used to see this lazer red G on Rt.9 drive by me a few times, with a very cute girl inside, if she is on this site, Hey... how you doin? Anyhow, thats an average of only 33% of drivers that acknowledged me. thats pathetic.
