Help, to reset G's auto trans memory, unplug bat ?

To reset the auto trans shift memory, do I simply unplug the battery for 24 hours ? Thanks in advance.

Some do it for a few hours, I and others do it for 12 hrs, the ESM says to do it for 24 hrs. but yes just disconnect the negative terminal of the batt. or install one of these little gems:

Uheenada, The battery disconnect won't hurt anything, It should save wear and tear on the terminal.
I bought mine at NAPA auto parts.
