I actually like the VW switchblade key fob design a little better. However, the VW fobs aren't reprogrammable to our cars, right?

Just came back from the dealer, $100 is wishful thinking. The remote actually comes in 2 parts, The half that houses the electronics cost $187 and the half that holds the key/emblem cost $60. The 2 halves snaps together.

Unless you can just buy the shell it might be cheaper but I doubt you can. Someone please confirm this.

Thank you.... Now you know why it's $300+CDN.... the cost to get all material is close to $250 already.... so, my friend is only charging me about $60 to $80 for a non-stop 5 hours labour....

Anyways, I'm still waiting for my friend to reply.... he's checking out w/ the dealership to see whether he can get the toys cheaper... to lower the cost down... But Honestly, I can tell u now.... $100US, it's not possible....
