Unhappy Gas is $5.29 a gallon where I live.

Hey guys,

I was planning on getting a G in the near future, but as you can see from the title gas is a MAJOR issue where I live, and it's not going down anytime soon!

Therefore, after many sleepless nights of browsing this very helpful forum i have decided on looking into purchasing a more gas friendly car.

I have been looking at the new civic si and they are starting to rub me the right way. I mean I know that it is no comparision to the almighty G, but IMO if you look at the market, there aren't much cars in that price area that can match up to the si.

What do you guys think about the new SI? Would you get one?

Thanks for the input.

^^wow gas is 3.09-3.30 for super here. but..youre in the cayman islands..and i'm in new jersey. hmm Seems like a good trade off to me, but then again maybe the grass is always greener on the otherside?
G/l with the car shopping. Id def say you've made the correct choice. The G makes you want to drive it hard, and most of my miles are city miles. Needless to say, I have to go fill up today and have only 260miles on this tank...something like 13mpg..i might as weel be driving a Hummer around

awesome! i was just at cayment islands a few months back, i took a picture of an IP ..while thinking..damn these people got nice cars

I had wanted to go to white sand beach...but some damn taxi guy convinced me it was nothing special. But I've heard otherwise.

On your island, maybe stick to a golf cart with those prices...sheesh

When I think of the caymen island, I'm thinking of exotic cars cruising down the beaches. $5.29 is definitely something to deter me from buying a car that costs almost $40k. Here's the question...are you in the market for a high performance car such as the Civic si or something more for cruising like a saturn sky or Pontaic Solstice?

Aint bad for something invoiced at $19,273 huh?

i've been to grand cayman several times (im assuming youre on grand cayman) and isnt the highest speed limit there only 45? and most areas 35?

i think you might be disappointed if you had a G and could never take it to highway speeds for any decent amount of time

yeah there are some strips on the islands where the speed limit in 50, but that is the max. mostly 40 over the whole island.

i guess it really wouldnt make much sense to get a g then huh??

where i live, in sunny southern california, every dealership has marked up the civic si at least 3k, ranging to 5k and suprisingly enough, they're also all spoken for already... i cant see myself speding 25k on a civic?!?!?! i would much rather have the rsx-s

good luck in your decision
