Any Experience with this Dealership in SoCal??
Any Experience with this Dealership in SoCal??
Anyone have any experience with Santa Monica Infiniti? I've been quoted a real good price ($300 below invoice) on a new 06 coupe and was wondering if any of you bought or had any experience with them? Are they pretty good dealership to do business with? Any feedback would be appreciated?

Sales wise, I thought they were a bunch of snakes when I was looking for my G last year. After I cut a check as a deposit, I got this creepy feeling that they weren't being straight with me. Right before I was about to sign any contract I said I had to go and split.
They were going to sell me a brand new '05 Lakeshore Slate G with wheat interior, 6mt, premium package, and splash guards for about $38,000.
A month later, after waiting and tracking down the exact model, I flew up to Elk Grove (near Sacramento) Infiniti and we negotiated the deal for $35,500 before taxes and license for the exact same model.
Night and day difference.
Service wise, I was there two weeks ago for an oil change. They just moved into a new place off of Michigan avenue. Really nice. Most of the time, I take my G to Glendale Infiniti but Glendale couldn't meet my schedule, so I went to Santa Monica near my work. Their new digs are nice and they've got a good attitude in the service department. No problems in that respect.
Sales wise, I'm not the first person to say something negative about Santa Monica Infiniti. My advice: do your homework and call around.

Well I've been contacting many of the local dealerships, so far their price is been the best. Tustin Infiniti said they could only do invoice. Others are quoting me $700 above invoice. I've been in the contact with internet sales manager and he's been pretty good. His numbers matched exactly my numbers to the cent when figuring out the lease figures. I just want to make sure like they don't do any bait and switch technique where I go there and that vehicle is not there so they try to sell me a more expensive one instead. A year ago my brother bought a FX35 from Costa Mesa Infiniti and that was a pretty smooth transaction. They haven't responded back to my email yet. So far though Santa Monica Infiniti has been the one with best response to my emails compared to the other dealerships. Cerritos was figured a monthly payment for that was like $150 more a month then SMI for the same vehicle. Anyone else can recommend any other SoCal dealerships/salesperson that are pretty easy to negotigate a good deal on a coupe?

Oh, I forgot that when I spoke with SM Infiniti, they were total Jerks to me. Basically, they said "Take it or leave it. We have plenty of other people we can sell the car to for what we want". No joke.

I'd be weary of SM Infiniti. They were quick to take my deposit and were quick to take down an order of what I wanted, but when it came to delivering the goods, they sucked big time. I put in a lot of effort to try to get a coupe from them. However, after waiting 3 months they couldn't get me my car. If they were honest about it and told me my car wasn't there, that would have been fine. But after two weeks of "oh, its here... we just need to go through inspection..." I told them to give me my money back and I left. Maybe all of their profit is off of interest they make for holding onto deposits. =p End result for me anyways was that I finally got my car 8 months after I initially placed an order (nearly 4 months dicking around with Santa Monica, 1 month of investigating Grubbs, and 3 months on order from Grubbs).

Santa Monica had fairly aggressive pricing when I was on the search. I ended up finding that Costa Mesa Infiniti had the best pricing at the time I got mine. Make sure to read everything thoroughly, they tried to sneak in extra money by upgrading the car and then going back to the old configuration without modifying the price back. Sneaky bastards, but I made them change it back before I signed it. If you want to get the best deal wait til the last week in December. Year, quarter, and monthly quotas all comming together and some dealerships may be hurting to move a few more units. If they are hurting bad enough for one more unit they may even sell it to you for damn near dealer cost (after kick backs and such). I basically made them compete against each other by sending out faxes to each FLEET MANAGER (not the regular fax number, you'll have to call the dealership to get this number) and telling them what I wanted and that I was sending it to 20 other dealerships looking for the best price. Then I called them back, from highest price to lowest price, to give them a chance to lower thier price of course, until I found the absolute lowest price.
