Oil change at 500 mi?

I'm used to changing oil at ~500 mi. In the '06 G35 Coupe 6MT, is there any reason not to do this (e.g. break in oil is in the engine)?

Maybe needless, but my habits go back decades to building high HP Chevy motors and running them in on a water brake. That aside, I'd guess that the rate of particle buildup in the oil is the greatest, by a huge margin, in the first few hours.

I'm getting ready to install a Stillen blower and that's what's influencing me to change.

Mineral? Blend? Synthetic? So far, I've seen no signs of oil consumption.

I changed mine at just over 500. Can't be too careful I say. On the 06's it real easy to do if you have ramps. I think I read you need to pull off the whole defuser on some other years.
