Test Drove BMW 335i Today

So me and my friend went to ATL for the first test drive of the BMW 335i today. They had three '07 335i coupe (auto) and three 06' G35 (auto) with a auto cross track setup. Everybody takes turn driving the G and then immediately drive the BMW right afterward for comparison. I got to say, that car can handle alot better than the G in those twisties and feels more stable in sharp turn. But the G launch quicker. I still love the look of the G over the 3 series though

wow, u got to drive the 335i already? nice, lucky u. im expecting some good stuff from the new 3 series coupe (especially 335i and M3), altho i'll hold my judgement on the looks when i actually see it and drive it in person. i really HATE the new sedan..must be the ugliest bmw ever made. the coupe from the pix i have seen looks alot better.

i would expect it to handle very well, but u said a G35 launch quicker? i would think with 300hp and 300tq, it would eat our g35s for lunch and dinner. maybe it's lil more tricky to launch it since it's got a turbo and is a brand new car? dont know, but i cant wait to get a test drive on those.
have always been a big fan of bmws and it's exciting to see a new model. and at the same time, the bar has been lifted even higher, so i cant wait for Infinit and others to come up with new things too! competition is the best way for improvements.

It could have launched worse since it was an auto. Their regular auto trannies arent that great.. but they just dyno'ed a manual 335i its putting down 275whp which is more then enough to eat our G's, even modded ones...

I guess the electronically control turbo do have lags after all..hehehe.. I don't know, it seems slightly slower than the G off the line. Maybe it's an auto.
