Clear turn signals possible?

I tried to search but didn't find anything. What I want to do is remove the orange color from turn signal inside the headlight. Is it possible? I did this in my WRX without using an oven by removing the headlight and the turn signal bulb, reaching inside with a needle nose pliers, then (carefully) snapping the orange plastic piece into little pieces and shaking them out. It's basically impossible to figure out where the orange comes from on the G by looking at the headlights (I have an '06) so I thought I'd see if anyone has done this before. Thanks

yea on the 06 just the bulbs. it's pretty easy to change, i did it yesterday. it only took me couple mins, except that i put the original one back in.

by the way, are the turning signal bulb # 7440 on the 06 coupe? i was trying to change it yesterday and the new ones i got doesn't go in. connection seems much bigger then the original one. so i end up putting the old ones back in.

For the 06 lights, in order to clear out the front turn signals, get http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-906.cfm

The bulbs are 7440, that is correct. PIAA silver coated, yellow bulbs. They do a nice job of cleaning up the front of the car.

Here's a few shots of my car with those PIAA bulbs.
