LMAO! I just took my car in for service also, and received a sedan. On my way to work I was thinking the same exact thing, it seems faster than my 6mt.

I have to disagree. I see more and more revups trapping 100+mph in the 1/4. Although the non revups can do it, I don't see it very often.

In my opinion, I think its because we're so used to driving our own cars.
My dad's 2001 LS400 and a friend's 2001 525 feels faster hahaha.

Feel's maybe, but actually is not...

Last week when I droped my Coupe off for service I was thinking the same thing on the way home in the Sedan..I was thinking to myself that this 4 dr actually feels a tad bit quicker then my Coupe...

So I had to find out..My buddy just reciently purchased the new GTI (2.0 Turbo Golf) And has the ECU chipped...well when me and him run in my Coupe I pull slowly, but steadily, and end up maybe 2-3 cars infront of him from a 40-100 race...So I get my buddy to run me in the 4 DR Auto G vs his GTI...and we were almost neck and neck...He actually started inching in 2nd gear, but as speeds increased the sedan pulled back maybe a fender and won by about 3 feet from 40-115!

Fewwww...I was a bit nervous for a second there myself...But in the end it only "Felt" quicker, but was really a few car's slower...

If your dad moves up to an LS 460, it will be faster than a G .The new LS has an eight speed auto, and even though it weighs over 4K lbs, it will go 0-60 in around 5.2 secs.

The G coupe is fast, but you have to punish the car to get the max out of it whereas the G sedan is designed to provide its power in the mid range. If you have ever driven the S 2000, it feels like a Civic in the mid range, but it comes to life after 5K RPM.

first off, on the loaner car you beat it up, you ussually dont beat up your own, car that is why it seems faster. when you get into your car pretend that, its not yours and see what it can do, then you will get the real feeling. i cant do this but some people can, good luck.

Did you do your hw and research the specs of the coupe and sedan before you purchased yours?

No offense, but thats very very basic knowledge about g35s that every g35 owner should know about...
