Clicking noise

I have a 03G35C AT. It has just under 1,000 miles on it. I have heard a click noise when pulling out of my parking lot in the morning. This has happened about 3 times and is rare, but it only clicks once and very rarely after starting the car after leaving it sit overnight. Just wondered if anyone has heard or experienced this noise before.

Re: Clicking noise

just randomly guessing here... but maybe metal contracting/expanding. Especially with these really cold temperatures some of us have been getting.

Twlight blue/Willow 6mt on order. Options: Sunroof.

Re: Clicking noise

This is a fairly common occurence under the circumstances you describe: i.e. letting the car sit for the night, 2 second ratcheting noise shortly after pulling out, then you never hear it again. It's come up a few times on the forum. I don't think anyone has officially figured it out yet though. The most credible sounding theories I've heard are a loose bolt or settled ball bearings. It's in the rear wheels, right? Mostly passenger side?

Re: Clicking noise

Check your users manual. I know I've read it somewhere, but something mentions the sound you might be hearing, and says it's not a malfunction or something like that. I'm guessing it most likely happens to you a few seconds after throwing it into reverse. I wish I could enlighten you more, but I'm not sure what it is myself.

Re: Clicking noise

I think that the sound is the ABS resetting, just what I've read.

Re: Clicking noise

Do your cars startup differently after a while, like overnight? Mine takes a little longer to crank up.

Re: Clicking noise

i had the same thing...im not to sure what the dealer said it was but it might have to do with the axel. it sounded like 2 quaters in your pocket. dealer fixed it without a problem and at no cost, expect for the $90+ hourly rate they have.
