touch up paint help

Hi all,

I just had a small scratch (like 0.5") on my door, it's actually on the side edge of the door. My car is only 1 week old!!! When I was getting out of the car, the door flung opened on me and hit an old rusted fence, therefore the scratch. My car is black, does anyone know any good black touch up paint so I can just apply a little to cover it up?

Thx

You can get touch-up paint from the parts department at the dealership.

if you can hardly see it then theres a chance you can buff it out which is a better idea than using touch up paint IMO

but factory touch up paint is available from the dealer. go mine for like 8 bucks or something

I would rather buff, than add touch up paint also.

I have a Grey 5th generation Maxima and I bought the touch up paint from the dealership. I used it on some of the stratches and it made it worse. IMO dont waste your money on that crap. It looks like someone took a grey marker and went over the stratches.

www.touchup123.com i used it it works. it is not like going to a autobody shop but for a touchup it is good to go better then those pens. touchup123 uses your paint code to mix your touch up paint

i would touch it up and do some hard core buffing and wetsanding. its on the auto-utopia site in the diy. i have the same situation when i got my car, previous owner swung door into walls. gonna put multiple layers of touch up, sand and use the pc7424 to polish it out.
