Playing MP3's on the G

The G35 can play mp3 files on it's stock stereo system. So can I make a data disc with all mp3 files and they'll play? Also, on the 'DISP' (Display) is it suppose to read out the artist and song title? Will it display the artist - title on the mp3 file? Or does this feature only work on radio?

With your 06, non bose system you can make a data file with mp3s on it, and even put multiple folders on the disk. The player will recognize it and can scroll by track or by folder. it's awesome!
If you press and hold the disply button for 1.5 seconds you can have it display track, title, artist, album etc, this is outlined in your owners manual. The thing that it doesn't do though is scroll the display.

Definately recommend putting them into folders otherwise you have to go through 75 tracks to get to the song you want.

Also, make sure your ID3 tags are complete on your MP3s otherwise it displays "no title", or "no artist".

Yes and Bose Stereo will also display title, artist, folder and filename. That's if you fill in the data into your MP3 files(I use iTunes).

Only thing retarded (unless i'm retarded) is that "random" isn't really random. If you get to a song you don't want to listen to, and you hit the next button, it will play the next song in sequential order... NOT random order.

I totally agree!! the random is uber retarded!!! Its so useless that it actually makes me to have to sort through all my songs just to get to random folder!!!

I just sit there and hold the next button and randomly let go! that's my own way of shuffling the playlist LOL

Thanks for the replies. So to summarize... all I need to do is create a data disc on my computer with hundreds of songs. Insert the CD into my Bose Sound System and then if I want to display the artist and title just hold on the 'DISP' button for 1.5 seconds?
