Clicking in the rear axle

My G has recently acquired a habit of producing a sound best described as "clicking" coming from the rear on the passenger side when I accelerate at low speeds in 1st gear (it's an auto). It sounds like it's coming from the rear axle. Is this the problem that Infiniti has a TSB out for which is fixed by applying some sort of a lubricant or is this a warning sign of something more serious? Thanks.

On an unrelated note: how much camber should we be running in the back?

My 03 6MT had that problem. They had to tighten it. There was a TSB for it I believe. Sounds like the same issue.

Best of luck

Took mine to two different dealers for the same issue now. I hear a loud clicking noise when the momentum of the vehicle shifts from braking or accelerating.

In fact, I just parked the car after picking it up from the second dealership for the clicking issue. Both dealers said they fixed the issue, but for some reason its still making the noise. I know its the same issue too because the loaner car they gave me was making the same exact noise when momentum was shifting. I hate to pester the dealer over such an issue, but how many times can they go and fix it before it stops?

I have the exact same problem, '05 5AT. I called my local dealer, told him about it, they said they're quite familiar with it, and I have an appointment Monday morning to get it fixed. It's not going to cost you anything if you still have warranty left on your car - 4 years/60,000 miles.

Bring it in to get it fixed.

Take it to the dealer. It's a known issue and a TSB. Rear axle clicking noise. They'll fix it under warranty for free.

....just had mine fixed yesterday. Beware though, they have to order the part first though, so remind them while making your apointment. At the same time, I had them fix the squeking drivers seat, and they replaced my master clutch cylinder.

What part do they have to order? I thought they just had to open up the axle housing, remove and then coat some metal plate with grease, and reassemble?

Dude the clicking I believe is a recall. Infiniti should do this for free regardless of your warranty status.
