My First Long Drive With the G35 Coupe

Drove from Baltimore to Daytona Beach in one day with my wife and two 16 yr old teenagers, and all their luggage over the long Labor Day weekend.

Really impressed with how much we could fit, and the comfort our kids had the whole 13 hour drive down. We were heading right into Ernesto but timed it that we passed it south while it was still at sea heading for carolinas. I was very impressed with how solid it was in rain (thought it would be much more sloppy handling), and the gas mileage of approx 26 mpg at a regular 75 mph with A/C.

I did get a speeding ticket by some local township the 95 goes thru (Richmond Hill, GA). They probably got about 10 of us just while I was there. Went out and bought an Escort radar detector for the drive home. What a great car this is that's fun to drive, comfortable for 4, and relatively economical. (Premium gas in the south is way below $3 gallon)

Man, if I were you I'd be taking my drive up to Whistler or some other beautiful twisty road. You live in a kick a$$ area.. Pacific Northwest is incredible. Hope to be living up there (Seattle?) some day.

Try going 5 miles north to Ormond Beach.. never crowded. Embry Riddle...I guess its a logical progression that you want to evolve from a G35 to an airplane.

Ormond is ok, but if I've got the time I would rather go to St Aug. HAHA, Yah go figure I am a pilot .

got me at 85 in a 70 zone.. but it was late, dark, and he was up on my tail and I had to speed up pass a tractor trailer and move over.. used my courtesy move to get out of his way against me. This was strictly a fund raiser for his township. I was courteous, had my family with me, and was remorseful and he rewards me with a ticket...

well.. guess its only fair, I've got bluetooth and he's got redneck. (my apologies to any southern state, rural forum members.. just kidding around)
