Hello! I have Tein S.Techs with stock struts, just wondering if anyone has had a problem with them blowing out? Any guess on how long the will last? Thank you.

 

OEM shocks and struts on just about any car are ****, mine were done at 10K or so.............

 

stock struts were not designed to be compressed with lowering springs so you will wear them faster, each car is different but from past cars I would watch for oil leaking out and change them sooner than you first planned

 

I just got the S techs and OEM struts and am already thinking about getting some sport struts..

 

how can I tell if a strut goes out, will I feel it in the ride? or should I just look for oil?

 

itll be alot more bumpier on the road....ihad stechs on my is300 for about 5k miles before they finally gave...
