Hey do you guy notice if your doors lock after you start rolling. My car coupe 6mt doesn't. I wondering why it does do this as it would be an added safety feature...

I figured it was only for the AT cars

don't want my doors locked. A friend of mines wife
was burned to death because the doors were locked.

 

Ditto. My 06 6mt does not.
Wifes VW 5mt does and daughters VW AT does.
It would be a nice safety feature.

I wish Gs came with automatic locking doors as well as sidemirrors that automatically pointed down when in reverse so you can see curbs. These are the only two features my wife's 3 series has that I wish I had.

From the inside, there is no need to unlock her BMW's doors, just pulling on the door handle unlocks and opens. I don't think there would be any danger unless your handle doesn't work (at which point the door won't open locked or not).
