Got appointment at dealership for oil change tomorrow...

And I have a Stillen CAI installed...should I uninstall it and change it back to stock when I take it in?

If I leave it on and they see it, won't they make a note of it in their computers then, and if I ever come back with an engine problem they'll say it's not covered since I voided the warranty...?

Or am I being too paranoid? Honestly heh

dont worry about it,the stillen will not void your warranty.and i very highly doubt they will put a notation about that intake in your record.now if it was a long tube cai they might.

Yea I wouldn't worry about something like air intake, as long as everything works fine and you don't have a check engine light.

leave it on. I've been taking my car to the dealership for an oil change for almost a year with the stillen on. trust me they would not even notice it b/c its so close to stock, and if they do, i highly doubt they are putting into the system for future reference. dealerships are not that detail oriented. You dont know how many times i needed something fixed or a part ordered that i had to print out instructions or pics of a part to show and explain what i want done. sometimes i feel like i know more about the car than they do. dont waste your time taking the intake off and putting it back on. plus i think stillen is an authourized name for dealership to install.

Stillen products won't void your waranty, Leave it on. I have a Stillen Airbox and Stillen exhaust. They will honor Stillen products.

So it sounds like you know how to install and un-install your intake. That means you should know how to do your own oil change too and save your energy worrying about your warranty and your one hour driving back and forth from the dealership.

In all honesty though, the dealer's not going to notice and if they do, they aren't going to care.

i wouldnt even do that..

let them figure it out for themselves first..

and remember "they cant void your warrantu unless they can prove your mod caused the problem"

but also let it be known that some dealers with pull anything out of their @$$es and blame anything on your mod

still..i wouldnt worry about an intake, especially the stillen..

just leave it in there man..

Leave it on... and also ask them NOT to wash your car cuz they may mess it up/scratch it.... (that may just be me being paranoid about them washing it)

I've got a few mods and they don't write it down... they just admire the car, ask what I've done, and call other sales people to check it out....
