No I mean the sterotypical Skyline. Not many people know that in 03 the Skyline in Japan changed into the 350GT (G35) Before that they looked like this




As you can see it is a whole different machine and this is what most people imagine when someone says SKYLINE. That and Fast and the Furious

The Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R used the RB26DETT with the Getrag 6-speed. Legendary car.

Our G35's are nothing compared to the original GT-R. G35's in Japan are Nissan Skyline 350GT. They are simply Grand Tourer's and have no relation to the GT-R in any way other than the Skyline badge. Godzilla was a supercar.

 

yea i know the skylines as r34, r33's etc...but i seen someone saying that this rb26 motor is a v8....since when did skylines ever come with v8's? I always thought they were FI inline sixes.

well guys im droping a rb26 into my car right now im looking for the motor bu tthe project is gonna take me like 2 months to finish so i will keep u guys posted

 

If I was going the I-6 iron block heavy route, I'd probably source a 2JZ engine instead. Domestically available and it's oem ign/fuel maps/injectors are already set up for higher boost.

 

I believe the differance in weight between the G35 V6 and The M45 V8 engine is only 70lbs
