Thumbs down RB26 Vs M45

Hey guys I was Just reading through some threads on the RB26 swap and everyone say's it is a pricey project. I was wondering.. which project would end up costing you more? I don't know anything about either swap but I was just wondering if anyone who know's a lot more about these swaps then me could help me.

Thanks guys

RB26 because of all the special fabrication other than the motorwork you want done.

There is no exact cost on a custom project like this, it depends on which route you plan on taking. Custom mounts/brackets/Driveshaft/Wiring etc. All those varies in price so its not going to be cheap.

If you want a front heavy ill-balanced G35, by all means RB26 away

Still want a RB swap?

A 3.5 liter V6 may sound like it's a relatively large sized engine, but in reality, it is 30 cm shorter than the RB26. The VQ engine was 150 kg (330lbs) lighter

isn't he asking about the rb26 versus the 4.5 liters in the M45 and Q45? Which, incidentally, is the engine that is currently being used for the top secret car, and another forum member's project? I don't know how much heavier the 4.5L is compared to the 3.5, but i'd imagine it's quite a bit heavier.

But it won't be nearly as bad as using a heavy discontinued I-6 vs aluminum V8
