You think it was worth it though? I dont know what you have but im sure,you didnt get more then 50 hp from all your NA upgrades.

To me NA bolt ons are not even worth it.

na mods are SO not worh it.. but if you dont intend on going FI then a little bit wont hurt.. but if you go all out NA then it wont matter. I personally don't race or track my car so going FI would just be a complete waste of money. It'll just be bragging rights and thats not worth 6-7k to me.

But modding all adds up. I dont even have that many engine mods.. mostly other stuff like suspension, wheels, brakes, sound system.

Rims =3350
Tein flex + edfc = 1300 + 400 install
Brakes = 4k + 350 install
Audio = 6k
Body kit = 1600
exhaust = 1400
thats already over 17k right there and i havent even listed out all the little things like plenum, intake, brake pads, lights, sways, bulbs, alarm, and all the misc stuff. Once you start modding, you can't stop. So be prepared for a big bill. So really, 3-4k on rims like the starter of this thread is talking about is not all that bad..

yes i kno im complaining a lot but fck it!
What are those rims you put on Eclipse? I bet those wasnt Volk/Work/SSR/BBS/Maya/Racing Heart/Piaa/O.Z./iForged/DPE/HRE...You can get a set of ASA 18's with Avon's for less than 1.4k for G35, Nobody force you to get "expensive" rims, I dont get what aryou are complaining about , besides, more expensive the car is? more expensive the Mods is going to be.

Damn, for 17k mods + 38k for the car, that's $55k, I would just get a brand spanking new M3. Faster, higher class than the G. even more attentions.

Just get something like Konig, Enkei or TSW, they're not as expensive. Maybe not the same status level wise, but only real car freaks will notice the brand anyway.

You could just get the $55k M3, but you know you're going to mod that too... and those mods will probably cost even more than the G's mods - it's a vicious cycle, can never leave a car stock, always going to dump a ton of money to make it a little faster and a little different from the other guys. Well at least that's how I am

It's not that the wheels for these cars are too expensive..you could put a $700 set of wheels on these cars..they're out there, but most people don't want to put a cheap set of wheels on a $40k luxury coupe.

tires are expensive because there arent that many 19" tires out there. theres a thread in the wheels section about it.

its not that we the owners or guys like wheels and modding, its that the women like it!! (Dave Chappelle)...

'Men dont like nice houses and furniture and cars, we know women like that stuff so thats why we buy it. If a man could, he'd **** a woman inside a cardboard box...'

LMAO..
