? for automatic owners....

I just have to know (can't...wait...3...more...days to find out myself), do you find you can you bark the tires between shifts and catch sideways on 1-2 and 2-3 shifts, or you've found it doesn' thave enough power to do that?

Power is not a problem whatsoever. Turn off VDC and you can get the tailout as much as you can stand. Manual mode is great in the coupe... much more like the M3 SMT and different from the G35 sedan.

Well, the overall experience with this engine will not be like an American V-8. This engine sounds and acts like a porsche or bmw V6. Definitely not rice-burner, but not throaty V-8. Overall, a WONDERFUL sounding and peforming engine.

Re: ? for automatic owners....

while i dont have my G yet, I had experience on this subject while test-driving the automatic

Basically came to a red light on manumatic mode and it automatically shifted down to 1st gear for me.... I had to turn right, so i put my signal on and gunned it! I forgot it was still on first and i nearly redlined and the tail end of the car crept outwards (with VDC on) but i did not fishtail, it was a completely controlled sideways turn, was so fun!!!!!

In 'testing' my G (gotta know it's limits), I went into a football stadiums parking lot with lots of room. The VDC does a great job of controlling slides (not as well as my old BMW, but I thought it was a little agressive) and it also helps you out on ice (as I found out a few days ago. Take it off? Yes, you can power slide all day long without a problem. The 18" are fairly well grounded, but manage to lost their grip when inticed enough.

Enjoy!

Remember, no matter where you go, there you are.
