Sorry I have to ask... how much was the vortech kit total including labor?

How much are you putting to the wheels (preferably vortech only...if you got to find out how much it was putting to the wheels itself without other mods)?

if it is a cam chain cover, why would it leak oil? If it did, it would be a very small amount. When the engine isn't running, 95% of the oil is in the pan. I would just have a rag under each when you break them free for any drips.

I paid $4,900 & change, but than I had some stuff polished. I did the whole install of the supercharger myself. Labor free (yeah)

After I installed the Vortech I had it dynoed and pulled 364HP & 302TQ.
May more mods since than.........satisfied results 491HP 446TQ
click here my current dyno chart --> http://www.jdmv35.com/current_modifications.htm

I guess I will try removing them tonight and will post results.

Thanks
DG

They will leak a little oil but nothing major. That cover actually functions as an oil pressure tube. The hump you see on the fron is actually hollow.

yea thats what i always thought... they are the cam gears... but as for 95% of the oil being in the pan i doubt it... the G's oil filter is designed to keep oil in side all components of the engine at all times... i dont know how much would leak but definately some
