I was wondering the same thing. I'm looking at getting this one [ http://k40.com/home_main.html ] but now it seems like I need to consider the V1 everyone is talking about.

heard of it.... but dosent that go above ? from what i noticed is that the foil (top of windshield) that strip there, slightly reduces the capabilities of V1 so i left my under the mirror
ran a wire in the roof liner and on the drivers side pillar down to the fuse box thats how my setup looks like,

u know im getting the final steps of my interior put together soon and i was thinking of going with the V1 radar detector but my question is.. does the V1 come in different parts? meaning can i mount the part that tells you where the radar is coming from into the dash and then have the sensors sitting up on my dash, or are the sensors mounted on the actual unit... if it had detachable sensors or something of that sort to not have a little black box sitting on ur dash or under the rear view... i dont think it would look as good

Either detector + invisicord + Mikes radar mount = CLEAN!

mounts to mirror and sits right under it. the invisicord hardwires to the plug that goes into the rearview mirror. i can post pics, or search mikes mounts and there are pictures there.
