i don't think this works for the v1--i think there is a receiver antenna on the face of the v1 for laser from behind.

My x50 works amazing...

2 other friends have V1's, they all work the same. Both are extreamly good radars.

This is one of the funniest topics that i have ever read. Everywhere that you go to read about which one is better there is always people arguing. It is just a matter of whether or not you want arrows that tell where the radar is coming from. They both will perform the same, granted one may be better one day and another will be better another day. But they both will get the job done, and damn well at that. Personally when i get the money to buy a radar i will go witht he V1 simply because you can send it into the company and have it updated when they come out with a new feature. Just my 2 cents though.

I personally use a Escort X50 and am planning on ordering AntiLaser A8 Guardian, which is one of the best laser jammers available. What people don't realize is laser jammers are where it's at. RD's can help you avoid getting caught by radar but laser jammers can make your car invisible to laser if used correctly. Ofcourse it won't do anything for radar but where I live the Highway Police ALL use laser anyways.

That's why you ask to see the radar gun. They can recall the last speed reading and I believe in cali are required to do so if asked. It's not an urban myth.

RD's are useless on instant-on radar unless the cop tags someone in front of you and you pick up some of the reflected radar waves. Also POP is another method, but POP can not alone be used to write a ticket because it is not very accurate/relaible. I'd be more worried about a cop using just POP to write tickets rather than running into a cop that will try to BS a speed for you. You're not that important haha jk'ing but I honestly doubt that happens.

(Yes I read your thread, that's just another can of worms full of contradictions so I won't go there.)

I got the Valentine 1....its amazing. being able to track the fuzz in front of you and the fuzz behind you really comes in handy...plus I like the fact that its all black (mine is mounted right under my mirror and no wires are visible).

I really might switch over to the V1. I'm tried of turning my head like a mad man trying to locate the fuzz haha. People following me probably think I'm crazy.

no. why do you want it to be compatible?

They don't interfer with each other if that is what you are asking.
