Hi all !!

I am presently looking into the purchase of a G35 coupe, M6. However, I am undecided on the color. What does everyone think?

Choices are: Diamond Graphite
Black Obsidian

The DG will be easier to keep clean. As for BO they should change the name to Black Obsession, as you'll have to be obessed with it in order to keep it clean!

Nevertheless, my G is my 4th black vehicle. I wouldn't have it any other way....

 

I have the DG. But I ordered the BO. The black on e came and was damaged during unloading by Matson. I love the Black one even with the required up keep time.

You'll hear Black from the Black owners and DG from the DG owners. I chose the DG. Before this I had a red 300M and prior to that a black Acura. For me, I wanted a change and I thought the DG looked luxurious. I actually would have liked the willow interior to finish that look, but the graphite interior works just as well. That being said, IMO a clean black vehicle will turn heads quicker than any other color. Bottom line is which color do you see yourself enjoying the most over the years you own and how hard to you want to work to keep it clean. As mentioned many times before, you really can't go wrong with any color.

I've got black, but I saw a DG coupe on Saturday at a NICO meet. Damn beautiful, and I bet it's a LOT easier to keep clean than my baby!

I agree with the above-- nothing turns heads faster than a well-cared for black beauty. It will take a lot of up-keep, but if done right, the shine is so deep you'll get lost in it... but, then again, DG is really nice. What do you want?

Nothing worse than looking at a black car and seeing all the swirl marks and stuff. If you want to do all that maintenance and not drive the car go ahead and get black. I'm really happy with DG but I do regret not getting the Black when I see it maintained well. Thanks for the compliment GeoBau. The black is beautiful. Sorry I couldnt stay for the drinking.

haha well said. either black or DG (now that i've seen davey's in person) looks beautiful on the coupe. it all depends on how often you want to clean it, and this is not including the interior. i wonder how many black Gs carry microfiber towels and cali dusters in their trunks.

Ducatiguy.....awesome G35. Really. Love the front grill. I have been checking out pics on the net, and love both colors. Maybe I should get 2 G's !!!

Gsedanman.....Awesome DG, G. AGHHHHHH. This may be harder than I thought. I've always had black, and would like a change.

Also, black delivery date is 3 weeks after DG possible date. Is it worth the wait? Perhaps.

Yes...this is true. I have never had a DG or reg. silver car. It could be fun. But black is a little stealthier. Hard to tell what it is, until you get close.

 

This question is what keeps me up at night. =) A clean black is an awesome sight tho.

 

definetly black man, trust me, when its clean, damn its really sharp and luxurious looking... yes i do carry microfiber clothes in my glove box and a cali duster to dust the interior every now and then... is the cali duster good for dusting the exterior too or no?

Black is agressive. Like you sed DG is luxurious. Depends on wht you want ur car to lean to. IMO metallic colors are overrated nowadays. No offense to those owners any G looks great. But I think the non-metallic blacks / reds / whites are the best looking; get the most attention. Plus any black car wen baby'd is hot.
