***STATUS***

i gave the car in and they said that there is no rattle from the rear speakers and that i just keep the bass too high and play the music to loud

===

i told them to double check because my 04 never sounded this bad and i only keep the bass levels at 2

is 2 that bad, i dont get it, what do i do.

tell them that you did not design the audio, and that if it rattles within the parameters of their design - it is their responsibilty. one the drawbacks to the g is the lack of 100 bucks worth of good insulation...

i hate it when dealers try to take advantage of situations and give ludicrous answers to simple fixes...

The sad part about this thread is that the coupe has had a rattle in the rear shelf since the original '03 models and apparently still does. There is a TSB for it but it is unbelievable that the problem is still there on 2006 models!

Had a rattle... i ended up finding out it was the rear part of my headliner that was hitting the back window... so i stuck some dynomat in between the liner and the window and the rattling stopped... that was my problem....

Pull out the rear parcel and put some deadening on it or some foam stripping or anything that you can think of.
Instructions are here

Oh, snap, someone replied to another thread on was on about this, they provided this link with the exact locations and fixes for the rattles. It says it's for the sedan, but it probably applies to the coupe as well.

Edit: No, it looks like the coupe is different. Here is a link to the fix for the 03 coupe
