HELP: Having a hard time unclipping the headlight power cord from headlights

Hey guys, I'm having a hard time disconnecting the power cord from my headlights. I took my bumper off, and unbolted all of the bolts to remove the headlight housings, but I can't seem to unclip that power cord. Anyone have experience with this?

yea, its a PIA! I ended up using a flat head screwdriver to seperate the connector a litlle bit as I pushed in the tab with my hand. That was only to start it though, after it starts to seperate I was able to just pull it out by hand. Just keep in mind the the tab is on the bottom of the connector.

Yeah, it got me the 1st time I tried it... Like said above take a small flat screwdriver (the smallest you have) and depress the tab and pull at the same time. I also removed the plastic clip that held the wires to the bottom of the 06 housings to give me more wire to work with while connecting the new housings.

Yea I forgot about that too, the wires are zip tied to the frame, you can cut that to create more slack to work with and then zip tie it back up when you're done.

there's a little tab on the bottom that you have to press in... if you run a screwdriver along the bottom you can feel ridges on the tab - this is where you need to press. Once you get the first one, the next one is easy.

Unclip the WHOLE harness from the back of the headlight. That will give you the slack to actually see the harness. Then you can disconnect the harness and pull the headlight off the car.

Thanks guys, what a PITA!, but got it done. Now I have a problem.. Everytime I turn on the turn signals, they go crazy fast. My friend told me that it was something to do with the fuse. Anyone know what's going on?

Make sure the bulbs for the signals are pushed in all the way. I just made the 06 swap and mine were tought to push all the way in.

^ yeah what he said. I had a similar issue, but it was only because I forgot to put the turn signal lights in to begin with
