So after you rebuild it, are you gonna sell it as a clean title car then? lol...

front right suspension is shot. realize in the picture the front left of the wheel is straight while the front right is turned all the way to the right, other than that, looks like just some body and glass work, the dash looks like it fell out but definitely fixable.

That car has a Salvage Title. I'm 99.9% sure.

It was bought originally from a Collision Shop only auction house called CoPart. The sellers were not even bright enough to snap new pictures and re-used the pictures that came from that auction!

I actually believe this. With clean title this car would be priced no less then 10K.

There is nothing dumb about buying a wrecked car, as long as you know what you doing and you are saving/making money. If he's not gonna fix it right it's another story, but if he does, than he can laugh at any dumb a $$ that paid over 30 grand for the car when he's enjoying it for $15 for example.
And take it easy, we're all friends here. I take time to explain things, and this is the thanks I get. Great.

Since I will be gutting this car anyway, I figure id like to do it now while its all apart.
I wouldn't bother doing the VLSD (viscous limited slip), I recommend going with several aftermarket choices (HKS RS or ATS Carbon). If you must have the oem VLSD unit, only do the mod by locating a entire sealed diff (pumpkin) whereby you unbolt your pumpkin and swap in the new one.

As for the rest, this is what you will need (oem parts of course).

Shocks, springs and sway's (I'd would only bother with the front sway).

You can try doing a WTB post on the board. Be very carefull, you will likely get replies from coupe owners that think they have the sport suspension, but actually don't (no fault of their own, just misinformed).

BTW, your oem shocks and springs have value, sell them to G35X owners (though they can't use the front shocks).

My dad used to say "if it rolls, its worth 500 bucks." I say, "if it's a G35 and the frame is in one piece, it's worth 2000 bucks."

Hit the salvage yards, message boards, eBay, etc. You'll do just fine. I priced out replacement parts from Chrysler when I banged up my van. The total came to about ~$400. I got the same three pieces for $50 from salvage yards.

Why are you so confident that the frame is not bent?

Looks like a pretty serious impact to me...I would have a good body shop check it out.

Take photos as you go, I'd love to see the rebuild as it happens

From the pics it looks like someone did a fair share of work and then gave up.

Why don't you post some normal pics of the damage so we can see and make a fair estimate.
