Which years are best to buy?
Hello G-owners. I own an 03 Acura CL-S. Might be taking the leap into the G35C. I was wondering, which years of this car were the most healthiest, least problematic, and trouble free. It's obvious to never buy a first year model car and to wait for the kinks to be worked out.
I'm looking for an 05 or 06. Smart choice or not? I'm surfing through the "what problems do you have with your G" thread, but I thought I would create a thread of my own. I may be a newb to this forum, but definately not to other boards.
Thanks

If $$ isn't an option obviously go for a new one.
If you are looking for used the '03s and '04s with the 6MT offered the Brembo brakes but they were discontinued in '05. The interior also changed in '05.
Continue your research and good luck with your decision. I feel that any year model you pick up you will enjoy thoroughly. The cars are great!
Take care.

Ya, I kind of want to stay around the exact payments I have for my CL. I dont HAVE to get rid of my car, but when it hits 100k, I will start to get nervous about the slush box trans. Other then that, I love it!
I would love a new G, but it would most likely be out of my price range. Thanks for the replies so far.
Things I'm skeptical on are the gross interior of the G's. I'm already coming from a sorda bland interior of my car, into something that doesnt fit my tastes. I'll have to check out the new ones and see what I think.

honestly just by a beeter for a year and wait for the 08 because you will regret it buying one now. My best friends brother just bought the 2005 bmw 330ci coupe in januray and he is so mad at himself because the newer generation puts his to shame, so just hold out for a little unless you dont about my input so i would say go for an 04 or an 05

Thanks for your opinions everyone. Thing is, I may not have a choice. I guess it all depends on the trans around the 95k mile mark. If it starts to act up around that time, then I will trade in. I was just wanting to know from you guys, the best years the G's were made. I think I was right on target. Now I just have to see these interiors. That is what is making me hesitant. I cant just ignore it because I'm gonna see it everytime I sit in the car. The orange lighting isnt my favorite either, but I guess it's better then my lemonade lighting in the CL.
