You don't shift when your car makes peak HP, you shift at a higher point because your torque multiplier is better in a lower gear, so its still better to redline than to shift at a lower rpm for our cars.

thats great and all...but you still dont shift at 8000 RPM as the other guy suggested... and how much of a diff do you possibly think would be between 6800-7100 when its topped out? look at a dyno sheet

I made no mention of shifting at 8000rpm, you inferred that people should shift at peak HP, which according to you is 6800 rpm. Then you suggesting there won't be a difference between shifting at 6800 as opposed to 7100. To address this, go look at a dyno sheet for yourself, and you will see a revup motor doesnt have a significant drop in HP after peak, and still makes significant HP up to redline. So indeed shifting at 7100rpm does make a SIGNIFICANT difference. Even if it did start to drop off, the torque multiplier is better in a lower gear so you still want to go to redline. You will also land at a higher rpm after shifting putting you at a higher point in your powerband, so by following your technique, you are losing power twice. Multiply that by 2-3 shifts during a race, and that could be .1-.2s difference in 1/4mi. So do your research before running your mouth

you know the little pin on your dashboard by your odometer and mp and junk. skim through it (going through miles [a] and miles [b]) when you reach the part, let's say yours is set at 6000, push and hold the same pin you use to search for the rev limiter. then it should start blinking, then set it to which ever you would like. i believe our cars tops HP at 6800. i set my **** at 7200, so it would start blinking at 6700ish.

okay, ur quick to insult without READING. I reved to 4500, let go and complained because my CLUTCH got stuck to the bottom of the car, AKA its NOT supposed to do that.
with VDC off, the car is supposed to spin wheels; NOT steal my clutch.

EDIT - after reviewing the last few posts you have posted on this forum, you seem to be the most retarded G driver yet. You insult everyone, and have absolutely NO knowledge of anything you say.

Nothing breaks. Its a safety mechanism basically, alot of new cars now come with an orifice to prevent dropping the clutch. https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...hlight=orifice so its not really his fault. Revving and dropping the clutch at a high rpm is the correct method to do a burnout if thats what you are trying to do. Without an orifice, any car can be "dumped" but now the clutch will not engage fully instead. Its "safer" because you won't be able to launch as well, but it causes excess wear on the clutch
