Hey, i just joined the forum because i actually am thinking about tradeing in my 05 evo. I am looking for either the 350z or the g35. Can anyone help me out with some pros and cons about these cars? O, another question, im out here in southern california. Can anyone suggest a place to get either the g35 or 350z. I mean, because of price, and the way you are treated. Thanks a lot everyone.

I'm surprised no one else posted yet... search the forum evoguy, there's posts all over the place!

For me: The G35 was everything I wanted in a car. Style, HP, 6MT, price, specs...etc.

In SoCal, you might be better off with a gas saver.. I've seen traffic. No way would I ever get caught on the 405 driving my 6MT. It took me 1hr to get from the getty to santa monica. WTF is that!

Yup, im in temecula. And i have a daily driver, its an eclipse. I think g35 are pretty sick looking. So on saturday im gonna go look at some. Question and i know i should search, which im about to. Are there certain types of internals i can go with on the g35, like skyline and what not. Also, can someone post up a link of where to get parts for the g35. Thanks for all the help everyone

If you are comparing 6mt for both then the G35 coupe is more of a luxury sports coupe, it's got leather, brushed aluminum interior finish, and a back seat. But is also has infamous rattling issues, axle clicking, window motors (take a look at TSBs). The Z is sportier, less luxury, cheaper and more mods. I don't know what the complaints are for the Z. If modding is your thing, then go with the Z. The G can be modded as well but your choices are more limited than the Z i think.

Be prepared to be shocked how heavy and slow the G feels since you're coming from an Evo. And if you search good enough, you'll find that pretty much all aftermarket parts do little for performance and the only one that counts and will give you satisfying feeling of performance improvement is FI, turbo or supercharger, maybe plenum. Enjoy the car, you'll be in a whole other class now buddy. Good luck.

the coupes dont really have much of a back seat so dont count on that! if i didnt feel the need for some rear seats (that recline) i woulda went and got the Z.
