Last night I went to the gym, I always go late so I can park at the front and watch my car while I'm on the treadmill.(OCD anyone? lol) Anyway, I live in a college town, and my gym is always full of young ladies. Last night I was watching these three in the gym and about 15 minutes into my run, they left. As soon as they walked out the door, the one girl just stopped dead in her tracks, and pointed at my g. All three proceeded to nonchalantly walk around the g about three times. Then the one girl walked around to the back and bent down to try to determine make and model. The whole time I'm watching like a hawk(i had my finger on the panic button in my pocket if they got too close), and getting a little chuckle out of them. They stood at the back of the car so long I was tempted to walk out there. Finally they saw me staring, and the girl pointed and mouthed "yours?", and I had the extreme satisfaction of nodding my head. She smiled, mouthed "nice" and walked away. My brother has a 02' corvette, and he doesn't get looks like that.Lol! Ah the life of a g owner.

 

I wish I could stare at my G while on the treadmill at the gym, I'd be in much bettershape lol But yea the G gets tons of attention I have people pointing at it and smiling at me driving all the time. The vettes dont get that kind of attention because there are like 5 of them for 1 G in my area, damn there are more NSX's than G around town. The only car I can think of that would get more attention is the Vipeah!!

Good story. lol!, we must have the same panic button! Similar story here. It was about a month after I got my coupe, still with dealer plates, my wife and I went out to breakfast. We were seated at a booth, at the window, with a perfect view of my G. As people were leaving, there were 2 couples, I'd say middle age, walked over to the G and stared for about 20 minutes. The 2 men must have walked around it 100 times. But like you said, panic button! I had my remote out and was gonna blast them as soon as they got too close. They were gone by the time we finished.

i was at barnes and noble and when i was walkng toward my car to leave i see two guys walk by my car adn stop and start walkng around it. as i get closer i unlock it and they are like this ur car? im like yea. they were like nice car and bla bla asked me some question adn were off. another time this other guy in a white truck on another day as i was driving looked at my car adn hten looked at me and i saw him and he was like thumbs up nice car smiling and stuff and stairing at teh car.and i always get ladies turning the heads as i pass or htey pass.. its fun when the ladies look. specially when they are riding shotgun with thier man and they are paying more attention to my car :-D heheh

You better have a damn good excuse as to why you didn't get off your treadmill and go out and give the ladies a full tour and/or ride! LOL!

 

Pirate is practically married, and the excuse "they just wanted a ride" would not have helped my case.

 

I was waiting to pick up my friend (who lives in a really upscale apartment in midtown manhattan) and I was idling in his apartment's driveway/entryway. An old European couple came out and approached my car. The man starts talking to me about the car and starts telling me how nice a car mine is. He then says: if I had my Porsche nearby, I'd offer a swap test-drive. You drive my C4S and I drive your coupe.

Damn. I wished it was nearby!

 

You'll get no looks in SoCal. I think I should move.

I get looks in so cal all the time. I passed by this school and it was just the time when they got out so there were like million kids out. I had about 4 ppl tell me that I had a nice car in a 5 minute interval.

I get the same all the time. I have actually been stopped at a stoplight and some old guy driving an 1997 Infiniti Q45 pulled next me and asked how I like it then asked if you could take a look, so I said sure. We ended stopped in a gas station parking lot and talking about my car for 15 minutes. He said he was going to go to the dealer and trade in his Q for a G the next day. Don't know if he ever did though.

The one experience that sticks out in my mind is this one time I was cleaning my G on my driveway. A mother is talking a walk with her little boy who is on a bike. I would guess he was no older than 5 or 6 years old but as he passed our property he greets me with a smile and a 'nice car'

Even little kids can appreciate how nice our cars are =)

 

Yea since I work at a bunch of schools in my town, I always have kids complementing me on the car. Oh and the ladies do adore, I love the way the females stare at my car as they drive by and stare. My old Vette turned heads as well. So it was nice to see that getting a new car didn't change that. hehe

 

I was behind a new STI at this turn and this old lady and a little fella (4 or 5 )

the lady says which sportscar do you like better? the blue one or the black one? .. the little fella says "dah black" and I gave him the thumbs up.

hehehe cute little fella.
