I got my 2003 OB 6mt Coupe fully loaded no navi... tan leather with 36,xxx miles for $23,000. $25,xxx with taxes out the door. So your not to off on my deal but you gotta remember that by the end of this year that car is going to be 4 years old... tell them that it always get salesman to lower it just a little. try telling them you'll take it for $25,900 our the door taxes included. That will be a hell of a good deal man =-)

It totally depends on the condition of the car which you mention nothing of. A pristine, well cared for car with no scratches and dings, plus proof of maintenance history is worth an extra grand or two in my book.

If you're dealing with a dealer, check with the NADA blue book, and print it out. NADA BB values are WAY low compared to both KBB and Edmonds. Tell' em that your bank uses that quote for the value of the car to determin the loan rates.

The point is that the NADA value will likley be a little lower than that price. What this means is that they can't say that their price is a bargain, and that (theoretically) you can go ANYWHERE and get the car for that price. Use it as a bargaining chip.

Try for $25,000k out the door & see what they say. Or NADA value (assuming it's lower)+tax, and they throw in the FULL elite extended warranty for free.

If the car is priced at $25k they already have room in the price for BOTH bargaining and profit. I bet they bought the car for less than $23k. That would be 2k profit. If they drop the price by say $250 and give you that warranty in there for free (not a dealer warranty, the real infiniti warranty), they are still making a $1000 profit on the car. It's not unreasonable.

In the private party market that price would be closer to the top-end for that car, but also not unreasonable.

I am buying mine this week (fingers crossed) that is very similar. '03, 28k miles, premium +Aero, LR/Tan leather. The car needs some cleaning, but was otherwise well taken care of. Very clean. $23.8k (no tax cause it's a private sale)

Are you sure about the no taxes? In my state they collect the tax when you get the tag. Just bought a $25K Navigator in TX. No tax at the sale, but I had to pay the 5% tax when I got the tag in MS. Nothing I wasn't expecting, just a heads up to the first poster so he isn't mis-lead into thinking all private sales are tax free.

However, there are some states that have 0% used car sales tax, which just freakin rocks. I think all states should do this to encourage used car sales.
