Maximum speed in each gear ?

I noticed in the owners manual that it has the maximum speed for each gear, but it doesn't state if it's for the AT or MT? What is the maximum speed for each gear in the AT ??

Re: Maximum speed in each gear ?

First of because i'am curious and secondly in sport shift mode "or whatever it's called " to help me determine what gear to down shift to..for instance your crusing in 4th around 50mph and need to take off...do i drop it to second or third??? Also, the sport shift doesn't auto shift for you..unless your comming to a stop...

it still doesnt matter.... lets say your doing 100 and want to drop down to 2nd in your "manual" mode, it wont let you.

It will drop down to the lowest gear the computer will let you.

might as well just keep it and drive and floor the gas. u'lll get better response

Like somebody said if its harmful to the engine it wont let you shift. Other than that just feel it out, thats what I did. I drive 95% of time in the manual mode .... huge difference between that and auto. Just beware those times when you are dropping it 2 gears lower and end up 1000 rpms before redline because you will have to upshift real quick.

6mt...6mt...6mt..It is pretty hard to take notes while redlining.

Yes and no ..... there are some times I wish I have gotten the mt, but more so I am glad I got the auto. If it was my weekend toy it would have been a stick for sure

Re: Maximum speed in each gear ?

That's for optimum mpg's. Sure if you need to accellerate, you must drop a gear or 3 lol, but so long as your not accellerating, or going uphill etc, it won't lug the engine. Try it.
Doggin it will foul up the combustion chambers, tho, so you don't want to shift too soon. I personally would shift at higher rpm's than the book says, but they're just saying how soon you can shift.
