pedal stiffness (?)
Any know what causes the difference in pedal stiffness between the 03-04 and 05+?
Did they change master cylinders, lines, etc.?
I had an '04 w/ brembos before and I loved the feel of the pedals (all three not just the brake pedal). I have an '06 now, and the pedals are noticiably softer. It would be nice if there was a low-budget fix to give back the old stiffness.

I am not sure what all changed but I think it is more than just the pedal. The reason I say this is b/c I have an 03 and had the 6mt replaced. The dealership needed to order in a new pedal to match with the new tranny, but it was a week late coming in. So for a week I drove with the new tranny (and presumably new slave cylinder). The clutch was much lighter but it felt very strange and it was hard to drive. You could tell the clutch travel was not designed to work with the new design.
After the dealership replaced the pedal the feeling in my 03 is comparable to an 05+. My guess is that it is a combination of clutch pedal and slave cylinder.
The dealership also changed the pressure plate and clutch disk - not sure if they are of a different design or not.
