Do all G clutches have their own unique feel?

I drove someone elses G coupe (he got it exactly when I did...everything is exactly the same), and his clutch felt soooo different than mine.

Mine feels soft and a bit longer to travel, while his is stiff and feels it has to travel less to engage.

Is this normal?

Both our cars are stock performance wise with the exception of my Ztube + Stillen CAI (which doesnt matter because we drove them days before the install) with mine having approximately 2000 miles, his has 4000 miles.

I stated it was exactly like mine, so obviously its an 06 (sig).

We literally have the exact same ride

Sometimes....

A new clutch replacement (including other parts usually associated with a clutch swap) can feel stiffer, but both of you guys have 06s so that can't be the case. The other possibility is that it is set or adjusted differently i.e you can adjust it to engage sooner or later which can give it a different feel. You can adjust your clutch to do this by turning the **** on the clutch cable.

all the clutches are the same from 03-06 they just changed the pedal assembly to make it not as hard to engage

They probably just are ajusted differently.

Look at this thread it shows you how to adjust the clutch. One turn made a big difference for me.

good luck

i know exactly what you mean.....me and my boy got our cars exactly a week apart...my clutch feels very easy to press almost lose...were his feels alot stiffer and when released it travels back to the up position slower, where mine almost flies back in place. Possibly something happened to my spring?

your pressure plate has a big part to do with it, so how you break in your clutch also determines the stiffness
