I bought my 06 6MT early in the season (first week in January). I told them what I wanted, told them I would pay $499 over invoice, and they agreed. Aside from getting a wheel swapped out, I would have been in and out in 90 minutes I think.

Around now, I would be shooting for 250-500 below invoice myself.

Never make the deal at the dealership. You know you are getting a good deal when there is a message on your voice mail when you get back... "Maybe we were a bit hasty, could you please come back..." That's how may last 2 purchases went down. But you need to know the right number to be able to squeeze them.

send email to the Infiniti Fleet Managers in your area and ask for the best quotes.

I got mine for $500 below invoice. No sales, no phone. Just email!!
Also, dealers compete with each others, so make sure you do PM (PriceMatching) by email only!!

Good Luck!

Finally, I got my G35!!

Thanks to all of you for your advices. I used the email method some of you mentioned. I actually purchased the package from http://www.fightingchance.com/ and read up on http://www.carbuyingtips.com/ Both provided good information.

So you're probably asking what kind of price I got?

I wanted the black on black but settled for a 2006 6mt coupe in DG/graphite, premium pack, and splash guards with 50 miles on it. Final price was $34,300+TTL which is about invoice. I know many of you are getting ridiculously good prices of $1000-2000 under invoice, but this is actually pretty good for my region (TX).

I highly recommend fightingchance.com since they give you a list of what others paid for your vehicle and good general information on how holdbacks, rebates, and other fees work among other information.

Can't wait to pick up my new G35 tomorrow! Thanks again, guys.

Make sure you step on that throttle at least half way descent and see if it pings. Don't accept it if it pings.

listen very carefully.. with the windows down. do not accept any pinging with correct gearing. If they say they have it filled with 87 or something, tell them to fill it correctly and prove to you it doesn't ping.

Agree on radjack79, but there is something that you should know which is who you need to bargain with. Normally people will say the sales manager, but I will say no. You need to make the sales rep believes he/her is going sell the car to you that day and make the sales rep works/fights on the price with his/her manager and not you. Sales rep is twice desperate on the sales then salesmanger, because they get pay base with high commission therefore if you can handle the sales then most likely you will bring home the price. Don't deal with Sales manager right away beside shaking his/her hand at the end of the deal. Sales manager decide how much to sell and how much to make, but if you can use their own people fighting the price for you then most likely you will win. Most important thing is that you know what you want first before you walk in to the dealer then price is all negotiable.

P.S. find out the closing time of the dealer that you will pay a visit and go in there 1 hr before they close. Usually decision is a lot easier and better when people want to go home.

Tomorrow (Monday) I will be going to a dealership to speak to them about the G I want to get. For what I want the invoice according to cars.com is 36,318 with a destination price.

I have a question. Based on that invoice price, what should I be able to pick the car up for?

Ty.

BTW it will be a 2006 auto, coupe.

You think asking between 38,000 and 39,000 is a good place? Thats about 300-700 off invoice
