Re: Projectors
To get the front plastic off, you have to open up the headlights. There are a number of ways to do this, ovens, heat guns, boiling the headlights, etc. I have always used the oven. I find that 10 minutes in the oven at 300 degrees, and the glue is softened up enough for you to get the headlight open.
You can use any projector that will physically fit. Keep in mind though, that the bigger the projector, in general the brighter it will be, so you want to use the biggest projector that will physically fit. There's one more thing, though. If you look at the chrome bezel of the headlight, it looks like it would block some of the beam pattern if you have the projector sit too far back. Some of my light is hitting that chrome and causing some glare, but it's not that bad.

Re: Projectors
I also tinted the side lights while I was at it. I didn't go for clears, since I thought that they would get lost against a white coupe.

Re: Projectors
What did you use to tint your corners? I've been wanting to do this on my black coupe, but not really wanting to spend $70 to get clears first, then tint them.
How much light output comes out from them? Did you keep the stock bulb in?

That projector looks freaking awesome! Great job! I know it wasn't easy task. Your car looks worth at least $5K more now!
I can't believe Infiniti decided not to give HID projector to our G35c while even my 2003 Murano SE has HID projector!!!! When I compared my two cars side by side, it was no comparison....Murano's lights were brighter and looks more expensive than G35c

Nice job...very NICE! I really think our Gs should come like that from the factory...but [censored] they don't! Kinda disappointed...but me luvin the car so much so i got it anyway. Would u give us some DIY tips as to how to make it our own? I believe if we get the right stuff and tools it shouldn't be a problem for everyone to make their own! Thanks!

Re: Projectors
in regards to the turn signal lense, he already posted saying that they are "cemented" on.. i'm thinking he had to pry them out or something..
i definitely wud want to see these in person.. i agree with what everyone else said, these projectors should have came stock with our cars..

Re: Projectors
I used window tint that I bought at the local car parts store. It's supposed to be scratch resistant, but I'll see how durable it is in the long run. Not that much light gets through in the day, but at night, it's quite a bit, and the light shines orange like stock.
I blacked out the light where the round orange reflector used to be. I also blacked out the projector shield. I left the rest alone, but the black color gets reflected in the low beam area, so that part looks like it's blacked out too. I'm using all stock bulbs except for the HIDs.
I'll try and make it to the next LA meet, so you guys can check it out.
