After test-driving the 07 G35 Sedan...
I feel my Coupe's loaded with 3 other passengers when accelerating!!
This morning, I went to Cerritos Infiniti for oil change and audio system check (driver side's volume was barely coming out). As I pulled to the Service Dept, I saw this 07' G Sedan parked outside. I was like, "I thought the 07 G won't hit the dealorship until Nov". We've all seen the pictures of 07' G Sedan, so I wasn't too interested in checking out the car. However, a 45 minutes wait for oil change bored me out, so I went to the Sales dept, asking if I could check out the 07' G Sedan.
Sales person David came out, telling me he hadn't had a chance to check out the new G Sedan either. I just wanted to see how the interior looked in person, but David was too cool to offer me a test drive.
I could definitely feel the extra HP in the new G Sedan from the passenger seat. When it was my turn to take the wheel, oh my, the power was more instant and consistent, and whenever I stepped on the gas, I felt my body was pulled against the seat. Engine now can rev up to 7.5k RPM, and the engine sound is a bit deeper tone. The paddle shifting was really nice too, making it real convenient to downshift when I drove with my left hand only. Suspension wise I felt it was more stiff than the current Sedan.
What's cool about the car, and what I didn't see in the pictures is that now the lumber is adjustable on both thigh area and back area. You can even pull the center piece of the seat forward for a more comfortable driving position. The steering wheel is smaller and more "firm" than my Coupe.
Overall, I see a lot of ressemblance to Bimmer on the new G Sedan, except the interior is much nicer than the plastic ugly dash of bimmer's. I asked about the pricing but David told me Infiniti hasn't released any info on that. He did mention that the new G Coupe might hit the showroom next April-May, though (not sure if he knows what he was talking about).
OH yeah, it was the G Sedan S (Sports) that I test-drove. Just want to share my experience with you all.

Car manufacturers don't have warehouses with years worth of parts in them - parts are manufactured and delivered "just in time" to be used on the line.

Yup. Most dealers have 2 or 3 '07 G sedans as sample cars for customers - they aren't actually for sale until Nov. Coupe should be a year behind the sedan.

Hate to disagree on the warehouse of parts, but the big stuff like engines, trans, etc. is stored. Know that because GM has lots of new Vette engines stored near where I live. Nissan knows exactly when the last model will be produced but obviously isn't going to say.

I'm guessing that most of GM's storage issues are with unsold vehicles, not production parts.
